I too grew up in middle class. When I took the survey I was also shocked at my results. I figured out I definitely could not survive in wealth :) I would also have a very hard time living in poverty. One thing that I thought interesting about the checklist for poverty was that I would actually like to be able to do some of these things. Life is scary and we never know what the future holds. I worry that if I would ever lose everything if I could survive. I don't even know what to do when my electric is out for a day. I couldn't imagine always living that way. I also thought about the children that have to go through this with his/her parents. I'm sure at a very young age they are taught many of these survival skills.
